Why is the volume on my SanDisk Sansa MP3 player so low ?

Struggling with the low volume on your SanDisk MP3 Player, the reason is that due to EU regulations, the volume output of a portable audio device is being limited to 85dB.
However, this can be overridden - Instructions on how to re-set the volume can be found below. 
Follow the steps to increase the volume output of your Sansa player:
Clip Jam
1. Reset the Sansa player to factory settings: Settings > System Settings > Restore
2. Set the region as Rest of World.
3. Change volume setting to High: Settings > System Settings > Volume > High
Clip Sport
1. Reset the Sansa player to factory settings: Settings > System Settings > Restore
2. Set the region as Rest of World.
3. Change volume setting to High: Settings > System Settings > Volume > High
Clip Zip
1. Reset the Sansa player to factory settings: Settings > System Settings > Restore
2. Set the region as Rest of World.
3. Change volume setting to High: Settings > System Settings > Volume > High
Clip+ / Fuze
1. Reset the Sansa player to factory settings: Settings > System Settings > Reset Factory Settings
2. Set the region as Rest of World.
3. Change volume setting to High: Settings > System Settings > Volume > High
Clip
1.Reset the Sansa player to factory settings: Settings > Reset All 
2. Set the region as Rest of World.
3. Change volume setting to High: Settings > Volume > High
Fuze+
1. Reset the Sansa player to factory settings: Settings > Restore
2. Set the region as Rest of World.
3. Change volume setting to High: Settings > Volume Level > High

WARNING: Avoid using headphones/earphones at high volume. Hearing experts advise against continuous loud and extended music play. Keep the volume at a moderate level, so that you are better able to hear outside sound and to be considerate of the people around you.
